Hand Stamped Sentiments‘ challenge this week is Theme Challenge #97 – An Old Fashioned Christmas.
Growing up, we had a small Nativity decoration as part of our Christmas tradition. Later, Dad used to decorate the front yard for Christmas, and the Nativity scene took pride of place. My first Christmas “out on my own” the first decoration I bought was a Nativity Scene. So the decision for this challenge was pretty easy.
Stamps: Kaszazz Nativity, Layers of Color Glad Tidings
Inks: Vintage Photo and Wild Honey Distress Inks
Cardstock: White and brown cardstock
Other: Dimensionals, Double Sided Tape, Sponge applicator, Sizzix Winter Words Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Labels Four, SU Chalks

I love nativity scenes and remember always carefully unwrapping each and every piece of my Mom’s, while setting it up under the manger my Dad made. Lovely card, love how you cut out the image and popped it up over the embossed background. Thanks for sharing with us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments! Love your blog header pic too!!

Penny this is simply beautiful. I really like the way you’ve added dimension to your card with both the embossing folder and layering the nativity scene up on foam dots. Gorgeous.
