Hi there, and thanks for dropping in. My name is Penny Gordon. Originally from regional NSW, I have lived in Canberra for about 20 years. A country girl at heart, our farm was at Chatsbury, an area between Goulburn and Taralga, thus the “ChatsburyGirl” name. You can take the girl out of the country…
One of my guilty pleasures is card making . I have been doing it for some years now, and have become quite addicted to it. I love being able to personalise cards for the people I know, and it is also a creative outlet for me, something that has been sadly lacking for me in recent years. Working behind a desk in I.T, there is limited scope (oops there’s I.T speak creeping in) for creativity. I also love sharing and finding new ideas and techniques.
Sadly, there is one person I never got to make a card for, my Dad. This site is dedicated to him, a very special Chatsbury Lad.
I hope you enjoy this site, and I welcome any comments you may have.
Enjoy…
You have made some lovely cards Penny I see you love Stampin Up too
Hi Deb,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, Stampin Up is a great range. I do use other stamps as well, but most of my stuff is SU.
Do you have a site with your cards? Would love to see them.
Penny
Thanks for all the information on your site Penny… You are truly passionate about this art form and the expression of your creativity. You have re-kindled in me an interest in card making again. I love to paint and I use to (many moon ago) main my own cards rather than buying off the shelve. I loved it and people loved it too as each card was unique and personal. My husband also got into it with me and he used to make the cut-outs by hand etc… It was fun… But then children cam along and the hussle and bussle of every day life and there just does not seem to be enough time… But after this course is finished, I will continue to watch your contributions and I will get inspired again…. All the best… Renata
Hi Renata, thank you for your kind words. I’m so pleased to hear that my site has had this effect on you. When I first started out, it was simply for the assignment. But it soon took on a life of it’s own. Please do keep in touch, and we can swap ideas. Kind regards, Penny
