Black Lace

Hi there,

Here is a variation of the first card I made for class yesterday.

SampleCard1 1Ink:  VersaFine Black Onyx
Cardstock:  Black, Various shades of Pink
Stamps: SU Petite Pairs
Other: Martha Stewart Punch Doily Lace Trim, SU  Curly Label and Decorative Label Punches, Sizzix Tim Holtz Regal Flourishes Embossing Folder, Double sided tape, Foam tape, Gluepen

SampleCard1 3

For this card, when I adhered the circles to the lace trim, I used a gluepen.  This was easier (and less messy) than using glue.  Once I had adhered the strips onto the cardstock, I embossed it with Regal Flourishes embossing folder.  In my rush to emboss it, I put it in the wrong way, the embossing was on the back, and the debossing was on the front.  Oops…

SampleCard1 6I stamped the sentiment, punched it out with the Curly Label punch, and mounted it onto Decorative Label punch with foam tape.  This was then adhered to the card.

Even though I was initially disappointed with my mess up, the debossed look grew on me.  One of the ladies in class said it gave it a leather look.

Bye for now,

Penny
