Today is my aunt and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary. These days, that’s a pretty good effort, though my aunt jokes that it is two life sentences 🙂 I was little bit naughty, I arranged for them to get cards from the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the Governor General.
Here is the card I made for my aunt and uncle, my aunt loves pretty, delicate things, so I just HAD to do another vintage card.
Inks: Tattered Rose Distress Ink, Black Stazon
Stamp: SU All Year Cheer I
Other: Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Motifs, Lace Doily Motifs and Fancy Tags 2, Sizzix Ornate Swirls Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Foam Tape, Megumi Romak Pink Flowers, Clear Nail Polish
I embossed the front of the card with the Sizzix Ornate Swirls Embossing Folder, and mounted the the doily and tag on the card with dimensionals.
A trick that my friend suggested when using these intricate dies, is to place wax paper wax side down on the die before placing the cardstock. I did this with these dies, and it made a huge difference. Previously, when I have used the Lace Doily die, it took ages to get the doily out, and then press out any card stock that was left in the doily or the die. With the wax paper in place, this was a lot easier.
I’m entering this card in the Great Impressions Challenge #4 Die Cuts and/or Punches and Make it Monday #95.
Happy anniversary Aunty Anne and Uncle Tom xxx
Bye for now,
