Swap Time

Hi there,

Here is the first of this month’s swap cards. The theme for this swap is “Open”. I bought these dies last year, and hadn’t used them yet, so this was the perfect opportunity.

Since moving into my house nearly two years ago, it has been a slow job getting my craft room set up. Any cards I have made were on the dining table. This is the first card made in my “new” craft room 🙂

Heartfelt Creations Simply Elegant Centrepiece Die

Cardstock:  White
Dies: Heartfelt Creations: Simply Elegant Centrepiece Die, Simple Centrepiece Die
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations: For My Friend Sentiments
Paper:  Heartfelt Creations: from scrap stash
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black
Other: Glue, Foam tape, Metal card stock

To create the card base, I folded a piece of A4 white cardstock in half.  Using the #1 die from the Simply Elegant Centrepiece set, I cut the card base, positioning the top of the die above the fold.  I then cut another piece of white cardstock using the same die, and adhered this to the card base with double sided tape. Using the same die, I cut a piece of Heartfelt Creations paper from my scraps stash (I will see if I can find what collection the paper is from), and adhered this to the card base with double sided tape.

Using the #2 die from the same set, I cut a piece of white card stock, and adhered this to the card with glue. Using the #5 die from the Simple Centrepiece set, I cut a piece of metal card stock, then with the #6 die from the same set, I cut another piece of Heartfelt Creations paper from my scraps stash (again, I will see if I can find what collection the paper is from), and adhered this to the metal card stock with double sided tape. I stamped the sentiment from For My Friend Sentiments collection on the paper. I then adhered these to the card with double sided tape.

Bye for now,

Penny
