Double Angled Gatefold Card

Hi there,

Here is the second of my cards for the May swaps. This swap theme is to create a Double Angled Gatefold card. Here is a link to the tutorial I followed to make the card:

Cardstock:  Black, White, Dark Pink
Ink:  Memento: Tuxedo Black
Stamp: JustRite: Vintage Rose Medallion
Dies: Paper Rose: Stitched Ovals
Elizabeth Craft: Small Butterfly
Paper: Prima: Misty Rose
Other: Double-sided tape, Glue, Foam dots

I trimmed down a piece of black cardstock to 11 X 5 1/2 inches, then following the instructions in the video, scored the folds and trimmed the card to create the angles.

I trimmed down 2 pieces of patterned paper to 3 1/8 X 5 1/4 inches, and trimmed the paper down to create the angles, and adhered them to the front of the card base with double-sided tape. The paper is double sided, the two sides contrast nicely.

I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to 4 X 5 1/4 inches, and adhered it inside the card base with double-sided tape. I then added two of the offcuts from the paper. The video suggested using the cardstock offcuts as well, but I preferred this look, without the black offcuts.

I cut the butterfly base and overlay, and glued them together. I then cut an oval from the Paper Rose set, and stamped the sentiment on it. I glued the butterfly to the oval, than adhered this to the top of the card with foam dots.
