Time for another birthday card, today’s card is based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar (our present to the birthday boy was The Very Hungry Caterpillar book, feeding set and cutlery set).
Ink: Memento Cottage Ivy
Cardstock: White, Red, Black
Paper: SU DSP
Dies: Elizabeth Craft Buster the Dog
Embossing Folder: Couture Creations Jazmyne
Other: Double-sided Tape, SU 1 3/8′ Circle Punch, Google Eyes, Glue
For this card, I punched 28 green circles from different SU DSP, and one from red cardstock.
I embossed a piece of white cardstock, using the Jazmyne embossing folder, then glued the circles onto it, to make the caterpillar. In hindsight, when I left this to dry, I should have placed something heavy on top, as the cardstock warped. Once dry, I glued on the eyes, mouth and antennae. The mouth was made using the dog nose die from Elizabeth Craft Buster the Dog, and the antennae were offcuts from another card, that just happened to still be on my work space.
Once everything had dried, I edged the white cardstock with Cottage Ivy Ink, then matted it onto the red cardstock, then onto the white cardbase with double-sided tape.
Happy 1st birthday Glenn Michael, I hope you had a lovely day.
Bye for now,
