As a child I used to love watching Danny Kaye in the film Hans Christian Anderson, and would sing along with the songs: “Inchworm”, “Thumbelina”, and of course “Wonderful Copenhagen”. This movie (and song) came to mind as I made this card, as the die is “Copenhagen” from Sue Wilson’s Scandinavian Collection.
Cardstock: White, black
Dies: Sue Wilson: Scandinavian Collection, Copenhagen and Corner, Border Tag
Other: Foam tape, glue
Using die #1 from Copenhagen, I cut a piece of black cardstock. I then used die #2 to cut a piece of white cardstock and adhered this to the black background cut out with glue.
I cut out two pieces of black cardstock using die #3, and one piece of white cardstock using dies #3, #4 and #5. I glued the two black pieces together to form a longer frame then glued the white piece on top. I adhered this to the larger cutout with foam tape, then adhered the full topper to a white A5 card base with foam tape.
I cut out 4 corner pieces from black cardstock using the corner die, and adhered these to the corners of the card base with glue.
This card was made for my card making group’s April Open Swap.
Bye for now,
