Well, there certainly seem to be quite a few birthdays in July, so I’ve been making a few more cards. This one is for my good friend Kasey (Better known as Kasey ~ in Oz from Paisley Wings and Crafty Things…). I blame Kasey for my cardmaking addiction, I went to a cardmaking demonstration that Kasey gave about 4 years ago, and that was when the bug started. Kasey has been very supportive, and I appreciate the many words of encouragement she has given me.
Kasey is in town this week and I caught up with her last night. I gave her the card early, as her birthday is not until Tuesday.
Now, onto the card.
Inks: Milled Lavender Distress Ink, Black Stazon
Stamp: Darkroom Door Full Bloom
Spellbinders: Classic Decorative Inserts Number 5, Fancy Tags 2
Other: Megumi Romak Purple Flowers, Clear Nail Polish, Pink and Purple striped paper from my stash, Dimensionals, Foam Tape
I covered the front of the card with pink and purple striped paper. I used the Decorative Inserts die on each side of the cardstock, and sponged around the edges with Milled Lavender Distress Ink, then placed on top of the paper with double sided tape. The sentiment was cut using Nestabilities Fancy Tags 2, and the die was then used as a mask to sponge. The flower and sentiment were mounted on the card with dimensionals.
The idea for this card was cased from http://fayespaperpassion.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/just-quick-card-this-week-havent-had.html.
Kasey, happy happy birthday for Tuesday, I hope you have a wonderful day xxx
Bye for now,
