Here is another birthday card I made for a friend. Now the animal combination I have used might seem strange to some…but there is a long story behind it. Suffice to say, the birthday girl had a good laugh when she opened the card.
Cardstock: Black, Green, Pink, Grey, SU Crumb Cake,
Paper: Stampin Up DSP and TBA
Dies: Elizabeth Craft Hoppy the Frog, Virgil the Pig and Lorna Label Pop-Up
Other: Double-sided tape, Glue, Foam tape, Computer generated sentiments, Goggle eyes
I made an A5 card base from Crumb Cake cardstock, trimmed down some patterned paper to the same size and adhered it to the card base with double-sided tape. I cut out the frog and flies from green and black cardstock glued the frog together, added the goggle eyes and adhered to the front of the card with foam tape. Using a label from the Lorna Label Pop-up, I cut out the computer generated sentiment, while still in the die, I sponged with ink ( no idea what sort, I just grabbed a dauber that had some mauve ink on it, and used what was on it), and adhered to the card with foam tape. I then glued the flies around the sentiment.
For the inside of the card, I trimmed down the SU DSP and cut with the Lorna Label Pop-up. After creasing the folds, I adhered to the inside of the card with double-sided tape. I cut out matching label in crumb cake, and computer generated sentiment and adhered with foam tape. I cut out the pig in pink and grey, glued together and added goggle eyes, and adhered to the card with foam tape.
Happy birthday Rhonda, you deserved this 🙂
Bye for now,
