Today is my nephew’s birthday. His favourite colour is green, and he loves my dog, Georgie (who is white and black). Here is the card I made for him.
Cardstock: White, Dark Green, Tan, Red, SU Crumb Cake, Glorious Green and Basic Black
Dies: Crafter’s Companion Die’sire Classiques Only Words Numbers & Punctuation, Elizabeth Craft Buster the Dog, Props 4, Happy Birthday Pop Up
Other: Glue, Foam tape, Double sided tape, Goggle Eyes
I cut an A5 card base in Glorious Green, then trimmed down some white and Crumb Cake cardstock and layered the mats onto the card base with double-sided tape. Using the Buster the Dog die, I cut each of the pieces and glued the dog together, and added some goggle eyes. I adhered the dog to the top of the card, and added some paw prints from Props 4 and the number 7 from Classiques Only Words Numbers & Punctuation.
I repeated the matting on the inside, using the Crumb Cake to cut out the Happy Birthday popup and green for the sentiment and stars. I cut out another Buster, and put him together, cut out the bowl and bones from Props 4 and adhered both with foam tape. The oval was in my stash, probably a Spellbinders Oval.
My card was inspired by this card made by Karen Burniston.
Happy birthday Bobby xxx
Bye for now,
