It’s my uncle’s birthday today, so time for another card. I have used this Darkroom Door stamp set for my uncle a few times, but it is very appropriate as my uncle was a mechanic in his younger days and went on to own a service station.
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink: Jet Black, Potting Soil
Cardstock: White, Brown and Dark Brown
Stamps: Darkroom Door: Vintage Automobiles, Splatters
Other: Double sided tape, Foam tape
I made a card base using dark brown cardstock, then trimmed light brown and white mats. I stamped the Splatters background stamp on the white mat, using Potting Soil Archival Ink, and adhered the white mat to the light brown mat, then adhered them to the card base using double-sided tape.
I stamped a car and sentiment from the Vintage Automobile set onto white cardstock, using Jet Black Archival Ink. I cut mats from light brown and dark brown cardstock and adhered using double-sided tape.
I adhered the image to the card base using double-sided tape, then adhered the sentiment using foam tape.
Happy birthday Uncle Tom.
Bye for now,
