Cars, cars, cars

Hi there,

Here we are, start of the new year, and lots of birthdays this month.  My first card for the year is one I did for my nephew, who is an apprentice mechanic.

Darkroom Door Vintage Automobiles

Inks: Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Milled Lavender, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon
Cardstock:  White, Black and Dark Blue
Stamps:  Darkroom Door Vintage Automobiles, Happy Birthday
Other: Double sided tape, Post-it Notes

I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock, stamped the centre car, then coloured using a variation of the Retiform technique.  Once coloured, I stamped the other cars and the sentiment, then sponged around the edge of the card.  Once finished, I adhered it onto a black mat which was then adhered to the blue card base, using double-sided tape.

Happy birthday Jamie.

Bye for now,
