Just sharing another one of the Christmas cards I made today. This was a work in progress, I wasn’t happy with the first version of it, made some additions, still wasn’t happy, more changes, more changes, until I got it to its current (and final) state.
Cardstock: Grey cardstock
Spellbinders: 2012 Heirloom Ornaments dies
Other: Sentiment sticker, Art Stamps Australia Glitter Stickers, Gelly Roll Pens
I cut an A5 cardbase, and cut an additional piece the same size as the front. Using the number 4 die from 2012 Heirloom Ornaments dies, I cut out an opening on the front of the card, and adhered the additional piece of card inside the card, to make it into a threefold card (Cardstock is not long enough to make an A5 threefold card, so I had to improvise).
I used the number 3, 2 and 1 dies to cut out ornaments from the Glitter Stickers, layered them, and adhered within the cutout front of the card. I cut additional ornaments using the number 1 die, and added these in each corner.
Here is the card at this point.
Not happy with this, I left it for a while, and came back later to add to it. I coloured a silver Christmas sentiment sticker with a blue stardust Gelly Roll pen. Here is the card at this point.
Getting better, but still not happy with it, I again left it for a while. When I came back to it, I used a silver stardust Gelly Roll pen to colour in the top of the ornament, and to trace around the outline. Here is the card.
This made a difference, but I still wasn’t happy with it, so again I left it for a while. This time when I came back to it, I used the black stardust pen, and traced over the outline edge, Here is the card at this stage.
Almost there. This time, I traced around the edges of the corner ornaments.. Here is the finished card.
Finally happy 🙂
Bye for now,
