Winter Blossoms

Today, I taught another class at CraftyAs, here is the first card from the class, an easel card.

Easel Card

Inks:  Memento Black and Lulu Lavender
Cardstock:  White, Lilac, Purple
Stamps: Flourishes Winter Blossoms, Kids Play
Spellbinders: Classic Scalloped Circles LG, Standard Circles LG, Standard Circles SM
Other: Double sided tape, SU Chalks, Liquid Pearls, Foam tape

This tutorial gives the instructions for making an easel card.

Easel card

To make the cardbase, I folded the purple cardstock in half, and cut it with the Classic Scalloped Circles LG die.  I positioned the card so that the fold was inside the die, leaving four scallops in the die empty, so that the fold would not be cut.   I then cut and embossed a second scalloped circle in the same colour, and adhered it to the folded half of the cardbase top.

I cut and embossed two circles using a die from Standard Circles LG from the lilac cardstock, and adhered one to the top of the card and the other inside the card.

I stamped the image with Black Memento Ink on white cardstock.  I then coloured it with chalks.  I cut and embossed the image with a die from Standard Circles SM, and adhered it to the top of the cardbase.

I stamped the sentiment from Kids Play, and cut it out using the smallest die from the Floral Ovals set.  I used the die as a mask and  sponged with Memento Lulu Lavender.   I adhered it to the inside of the card using foam tape, and decorated with Liquid Pearls.

I am entering this card in Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #117 Shape Card.

I’ll post the other cards later tonight.

Bye for now,
