Sweet Violets

Here is another attempt at a vintage card.  I needed to make a sympathy card, and here is what I came up with.  The person for whom I made it loves purple, and has violets growing in their garden.  (Please forgive the photography, photos taken with my phone).
Sympathy CardInks: Milled Lavender Distress Ink
Cardstock:  White
Other: Nestabilities Lattice Rectangles, Sizzix Ornate Swirls Embossing Folder,Dimensionals, Double Sided Tape, Megumi Romak Violet Flowers, Clear Nail Polish

First I used the second sized Lattice Rectangles die.  Once it was cut out, I used the die as a mask to sponge Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

The completed paper tole flower was mounted to the sponged rectangle with double sided tape.  As some of the stems were very thin, I thought it was better to have the paper tole against the card, instead of raising it with dimensionals.

Sympathy Card 3
I embossed the card with the Sizzix Ornate Swirls Embossing Folder, and mounted the completed flower on the card with dimensionals.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #84 Flowers
Crafty Friends Challenge #1 Vintage

Bye for now,

Penny
