“Let’s hear it for the girls”

This week’s Friday Mashup Challenge is

  • Make a project featuring “A Girly Theme”.
  • Or Make a project using “Your Favorite Technique”.
  • Or “Mash it Up” and create a “Girly project using your Favorite Technique”.

As my favourite cards are “girly” cards, I just had to have a go.  And nothing says girly better than Marci stamps.  As for my favourite technique…so many techniques and so little time.  I think my favourite would have to be nestabilities and embossing.  Closely followed by chalks and blender pen and Kindy Glitz and Liquid Pearls.  In this card, I have combined all of these.  And of course it HAD to be pink 🙂  Here is my card…

Stamps: Fancy Marci (LaLa Land Crafts), Merci Bouquet (Layers of Color)
Inks: Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Black Stazon Ink
Cardstock:  White and pink cardstock,
Other: Prisma Color Pencils, Foam Mount Tape, Double Sided Tape, Nestabilites Labels 14 and Labels 17, SU Petals Aplenty  Embossing Folder, Blender Pen, SU Chalks, Kindy Glitz, Petal Pink Liquid Pearls

Here are some closeups:

I’ve only recently started using Prisma Pencils, so am still learning about shading techniques.

Bye for now,

Penny

UPDATE: I won my first card making badge Woo hoo  🙂  Thank you Kasey, and the rest of the ladies at Friday Mashup.  What a thrill.

  2. What a sweet, girly little girl! You did a great job coloring in the girl and the accent flowers! I am really bad at that myself. I am also trying to get the hang of the nestabilities. Thanks for sharing!

    • Hi Lisa, thanks for that. I love the Marci stamps, but have only used them a couple of times. Niw that I have ventured into Prismas, I think I will probably be using them more 🙂

  3. Penny! Girl you rock, that is amazing colouring for a beginner! I guess I’m to blame for all this stamping stuff you are getting up to now. LOL. I Love that you are expanding your skills and ventruing out past the basics on your own with out me down there to teach you stuff anymore.

Thanks for sharing your creation with our challenge.
    Cheers,
