And here it is…

Well here it is, my first card made using the Bigshot (well really it’s the second, but that’s another story 🙂 )

I did this for my Aunt’s birthday (the same Aunt who gave me the Bigshot, so it is only fitting that she get’s the “first” card).

The stamps are “Tapestry Stamps”, this set is called Pottery Garden.  Ink used is all SU, Garden Green, Ruby Red, Summer Sun, Old Olive and Not Quite Navy.  Coloured cardstock is Cre8tiv Premium Textured Cardstock, embossing folder was SU Textured Impressions.  Nestabilities rectangle used for the shape.

I don’t normally use these colours, but am happy with how it has turned out.

Happy Birthday Rhonda

And by coincidence, Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge this week has a Blooming Blossoms theme, so I can submit this to their challenge.  How serendipitous 🙂

Bye for now,

  1. Did you do a lot of practice between your lesson and your first card? Your lesson was weeks ago! This card is very pretty Penny, you’re getting better and better at putting these together and are now producing some really lovely stand out cards. Cheers, Kasey xox

    • Thanks Kasey. Yes lots of practising and playing. I have a “few” embossed pieces to make into cards. I did make another card, and may put that photo up. I was really pleased with how this turned out. I had a picture in my mind, and this actually came close to it. 🙂

  2. I like how you incorporate the square scallop die as your focal point with the image and then used the textured pressions embossing folder to bring it all together. Great Job. Thank you so much for joining our Blooming Blosson challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Please do come back and join us again.

  3. Hi Minnie, thanks for that. I’ve been looking at your challenges for a while finally decided to have a go 🙂

  4. Beautiful mix of colors and I really like all of the detail you have added to the flowers! So happy you played along with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week! 🙂
